Mizel Theret (1959 – Hasparren, Labourd) is a dancer and  choreographer. For his latest creation, Oroitzen naiz... I remember, he has brought together three icons of Basque dancing: Koldo Zabala, Jean Nesprias and Philippe Oyhamburu... aged 76, 85 and 91. Without turning it into a tribute, but sifting through memory, Mr. Theret has put together a very specific performance with his “three aitatxis” (grandfathers). They will be in Renteria (on 23 September) and at the Lyon Biennial (on 30 September), accompanied by their dense silences and their motionless steps.
