Euskal diasporaren memoria, erbestea eta historia eszenatoki gainean biziarazten dituen antzezlan-sorkuntza. "Izan ginen, bagara eta izango gara" José Antonio Agirre lehendakariaren bizian eta erbestean inspiratutako eszena-bidaia da. Gernikatik New Yorkera, Berlinetik igaroz, haren ihesaldia eta erbestean egindako ibilbidea dira kontakizun honen hari nagusia. Antzerkiaren, musikaren, irudien eta memoria historikoaren bidez, ikuskizunak 1936an lehen Eusko Jaurlaritza sortu zenetik gaur egunera arteko historia zeharkatzera gonbidatzen gaitu: gerla, erbestea, milaka Euskaldunek beren jaioterritik urrun berreraiki behar izan zituzten biziak eta munduan zehar sortu ziren euskal komunitateak.
