Jean-Mixel Bedaxagar

The Souletin singer Jean-Mixel Bedaxagar (Ordiarp, 1953) is one of the most famous xirula and ttun-ttun players.
His passion for this instrument has never left him since the day when as a child he experienced his first mascarades in the village square. Later on, taught by the well-known Etxahun-Iruri and Copain, and also having learnt to play the ttun-ttun, he began to lead festivals and mascarades.
In the interview he kindly gave, he talks about his career as a musician and recalls memories about his reputed master Etxahun-Iruri.
