1921eko negua da Bizkarsoro herri ttipian. Gerla Handiaren biharamunean, haurrei irakurtzen eta idazten irakasteko aitzakiarekin, eskola publikoak euskaraz mintzatzea debekatzen die zigor eta umiliazioen bidez.

1940. Alemanek Frantzia okupatzen dute. Euskal Herriko Bizkarsoron, soldaduek Mixel eta bere ttanttak atzikitzen duten hotela errekisizionatu dute. Momentu berean, Hegoaldetik 1937tik geroz herrira etorriko euskaldun errefusiatuak desagertu egin dira.
