Zinemagileak egurrezko etxola bat eraikitzen du Arga ibaiertz isolatu batean, haurtzaroan jokatzen zuen irlatik hurbil. Egun, irla urperaturik dago, bere lurra ikusezina, urtegi baten pareta eraiki zutenetik. Irlako arbolek, haatik, oraindik zutik diraute, hautsitako jostailu baten mastak bailiran ur erdian. 2013tik 2016rako tartean Ikuspuntu Nazioarteko Zinema Dokumentalaren zuzendari artistikoa izan zen Iruñea-Nafarroan. "Las ciudades visibles" izeneko argazki proiektuaren egilea da, eta Nafarroako Unibertsitateko Ikus-entzunezko Gidoigintza Masterrean dokumentalen gidoigintza irakaslea da. Bere lehendabiziko luzemetraian, Emak Bakia Baita, Lapurdiko kostaldeko etxe baten historia kondatzen du, Man Ray artistak bere film laburra Emak Bakia filmatu zuen etxe misteriotsuarena. 70 festibaletan parte hartu zuen eta 17 aldiz saritua fortunatu zen. Zumiriki bere azken lanaren bidez, Veneziako Mostraren azken edizioan estreinatu zena eta "Las Nuevas Olas - No Ficción" saileko film onenaren saria irabazi duena Sevillako Nazioarteko Zine Jaialdian.
